In 1970, Robbie Manufacturing was founded by Bernard Robinson and, his son, Irv, who today serves as the company’s President and CEO. The company was founded with a simple, yet innovative idea, perforating film for wrapping produce. Robbie began with just six employees and was housed in a former livery barn in downtown Kansas City. After two moves, the company settled in suburban Lenexa, KS in its custom-designed facility. Robbie has since settled into two state of the art facilities 115,000 square feet.
Innovative products are only part of the Robbie story. Manufacturing technology has also pushed its limits and beyond to provide unique products for customers. Not willing to settle for just being the best, Robbie has delivered a series of firsts for the food packaging industry. All of this innovation and expertise has been applied and enhanced on Robbie’s shrink packaging films.
